Sriracha martini recipe

At Church & State out on H Street NE there’s a great Sriracha based drink called the Rooster. While it’s delicious it’s also $12. Here’s how you can make a similar drink on the cheap.



  • Sriracha (how much depends on how spicy you want it)
  • 3oz simple syrup (equal parts water and sugar)
  • 2oz Triple Sec
  • Optional: maraschino cherries or mint leaves

Mix the simple syrup, Triple Sec, and Sriracha with ice in a cocktail shaker and shake vigorously. Pour into a martini glass while straining the ice. Optional: crush mint leaves and sprinkle on top. Optional: garnish with maraschino cherries on cocktail picks.
