Gingham, the king of summer patterns

Yet another pattern that’s commonly known as plaid. Gingham is a specific type of plaid that’s patterned with criss-crossing colored lines (could be two of the same color, or two of different colors. The area where the lines cross is slightly darker than the lines themselves, and white boxes form the area between the lines and the crossings.

Gingham can be seen most commonly for guys on button-down shirts. This pattern is very common to see in the summer, and especially with a lot more vibrant and bright colors. Stick with the flashier colors in the warm weather, and go for more subdued colors in the cold such as black or grey.
