Bengal stripes

You’ve probably seen the Bengal stripe pattern before, but you just didn’t know it was called as such. Bengal stripes are different from candy stripes and pin stripes in that they’re wider (approximately ¼ inches in width). Colored vertical stripes alternate with white stripes to create a pattern that elongates your torso.

It’s good to pair any striped shirt with something contrasting for the tie. As in this picture, you’ve got a club patterned on top of a solid tie. A plain solid tie would work too. Top it all off with a solid colored suit and you’re good to go!
