As of this week, there’s a newcomer to the local beer scene, Atlas Brew Works, with their microbrewery located in NE DC.  The first tapping of their production beers was Monday at Meridian Pint, and a second event was held at Pizzeria Paradiso in Georgetown yesterday.  Those who attended enjoyed discounted pints of Rowdy (bold, hoppy, filling rye ale) and District Common (smooth, crisp, malty California common).

Atlas Brew Works will continue their premiere week events with these two beers being tapped at the following bars around DC: Wednesday 9/4 at Big Hunt, Thursday 9/5 at Iron Horse Tap Room, Friday 9/6 at ChurchKey, Saturday 9/7 at Smith Commons, and Sunday 9/8 at Black Squirrel and Libertine.  A third beer, NSFW, will also be tapped at the ChurchKey event on Friday, however the details on this beer are under wraps for now.  If you’re attending the DC Beer Festival this weekend, you can taste their beers there, too.

Keep up with Atlas Brew Works’ Facebook and Twitter pages for the latest on this new DC microbrewery.
