DC Wine Week starts this Saturday, October 12th, with themed events, dinner pairings, and wine offers around DC. There are tons of events, official and unofficial, so check the event schedule to search by date or neighborhood. Here are some picks for some of the official events that are still open for reservations:
Columbus Day at The Coupe (Monday 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, $20 for ticket, sample new fall menu with wine tasting, half-priced glasses and bottles for 33% off)
Opa! Wines from Greece at Kellari DC (Tuesday 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM, Free to register, select Greek happy hour wines $5 by glass, $11 carafe and dinner wines at 20% off bottles)
Happy Hour Oysters & Wine Tel’Veh Cafe & Wine Bar (Thursday 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Free to register, $1 oysters and complimentary hors d’oeuvres, with exclusive happy hour wine)
While there aren’t actually any wineries in DC, there are some good local vineyards a short drive away in Virginia. Divine Wine Tours has put together some good tour packages, to give you a taste of the area’s wineries!
