What is Pappy Van Winkle you say? Why it’s probably the most widely sought after small batch brand of Bourbon in the U.S., and thereby the most widely sought after in the universe. Check out this insane line! You see Pappy only makes about 7,000 cases a year making it pretty small in comparison to the other bourbon behemoths. Demand is high (so high there was a recent heist) and supply is low, and your intro to economics class in college should explain the rest. Not to mention it’s excellent bourbon. I’ve had glasses of the 12 year old and the 15 year old myself, and it’s the best I’ve ever had (but definitely not the cheapest). My 15 year old glass cost $55 at Bourbon.
According to Eater DC we have at least 6 locations that sell good ol’ Pappy (but I know it’s more because I know Bourbon and Bourbon Steak sell it too). Check out the map.
AND… there’s even an app for that
BUT… for the most accurate record of where to buy a bottle, check out the distillery’s site.
