Overall a fantastic whiskey! There’s no mistaking why it was named “as the world’s third-best whisky in that year’s edition of his annual Whisky Bible.”
To The Eye
A bronzish/copper color. Medium in darkness.
To The Nose
Cantaloupe, melon, honey. You can smell the acidity like you can detect in white wine, or a caramelized fortified wine.
To The Tongue
Sweet tasting… very much like Highland malts, not peaty so it’s great for beginners, and it’s got a lot of flavor that hits on the back of the tongue.
To The End
Not an overly sweet finish which is good. Pretty balanced finish overall, nothing too gross or outstanding either.
