Birchbox May 2014 Review

A decent Birchbox this month. Some stuff took a bit to grow on me, but I’m there now!

dr. dewey Lip Cure – FAIL. I guess they work fine, but not worth it for a small vial priced at $30!

Histoires de Parfums 1969 – WIN. An amazing scent of cloves and patchouli. I wasn’t sure about it at first, but in subsequent days I just kept wanting to try it again and again.

Rehab London Scrub Up Daily Detox – MEH. I’m lucky enough that I don’t have issues with ingrown hairs or blackheads so no help there, but other guys seem to think this is shiznit for preventing that unpleasantness. Distinct lack of crystals though… is that good or bad?

Roosevelt Supply Canvas Zipper Case – WIN. Rugged, and surprisingly useful. You never know when you’re gonna need a good ol’ bag to throw stuff in.

Oral Care Effervescent Breath Crystals with IsoVoxy – FAIL. This stuff is weird and gross. They’re essentially pop-rocks that are supposed to freshen your mouth. Well they made my mouth taste like chemicals, sugary chemicals. I let others in the office try ’em too… resoundingly disgusted colleagues.

Bicycle Robocycle Playing Cards – WIN. Surprisingly fun! The designs on the back of the cards are cool (it looks like circuitry). The face cards in the deck are all robotic looking jacks, queens, and kings. Nerdgasm alert!
