Fall seasonal beers like Marzens and pumpkin ales have been in beer stores and bars for weeks, the weather is finally cooling off, and now another sign of fall – the return of Oktoberfest.
The two week festival in Munich inspires celebrations of Bavarian culture all over the world, as well as right here in DC. Here are some of our local picks:
Das Best Oktoberfest is in their new location at the DC Armory on September 27th with live German bands, unlimited tastes of beer and wine, and German food vendors.
District Oktoberfest 2-day event will be this weekend, September 20 & 21, at venues around Chinatown. Tickets get you food and beer pairings, a free Oktoberfest beer at each of 8 venues, and entertainment.
Biergartenhaus Oktoberfest kicks off this Saturday September 20th at the Biergartenhaus bar with a special keg tapping, and it’s on the same day as the annual H Street Festival.
Capitol City Oktoberfest in nearby Shirlington on October 4th, is their 15th annual event, with authentic German music, food, and beer from over 65 different breweries.
