Perry Ellis kicked off the second New York Fashion Week with its Spring Summer 2017 collection. The collection featured 22 looks in a combination of tech fabrics in muted colors of stone, quartz, marigold and rose. Perry Ellis plays with these colors through the use of color blocking, tonal jacquards and graphic prints.
For spring summer 2017, the Perry Ellis man will have no shortage of lightweight outerwear. Bombers, track jackets, vests and parkas all figure prominently in the collection. While many of the pieces had an athleisure feel to them, the collection included several tailored looks as well. The iridescent suit in agave, the linen suit in spruce and the jacquard ultra light suit in navy were all strong pieces.
Typically many of these runway pieces are available in a capsule collection shortly after the presentation. It will be interesting to see which pieces make the cut.
