Make Mine With Mint

Mint has been added to drinks since ancient times and its place in cocktails has a long tradition — especially thanks to folks in Latin America (I love a good mojito or caipirinha).

To help you cope with the rising summer temps, here a two very cooling mint cocktail recipes:

Fresca fizzFresca Fizz from Bottiglia

12 mint leaves
6 fresh raspberries
1½ oz Grey Goose Vodka or Sapphire East Gin
¾ oz fresh squeezed lemon Juice
¾ oz Wilks & Wilson Raspberry Gomme Syrpup
1½ oz prosecco (add after shake)

Add raspberries, six mint leaves, and raspberry syrup into mixing tin, lighting muddle. Add the rest of the ingredients, except for the prosecco. Add ice and shake vigorously. Now add prosecco into mixing tin, and strain over crushed ice with six mint leaves on the bottom of the glass. Garnish with a mint sprig.

Raspberry Smash from Hearthstone

Raspberry_Smash8 mint leaves
6 fresh raspberries
2 oz. 50 Bleu Vodka
1 oz. fresh lemon juice
1 oz. pomegranate juice
½ oz. simple syrup

Add mint and raspberries into mixing tin. Lightly muddle, to press berries and to release the oils from mint. Now add the rest of the ingredients. Add ice and shake vigorously. Now strain over crushed ice. Garnish with a lemon wheel, raspberry, and mint sprig.
