Once again it’s time to spend an evening or afternoon with your favorite flash sales site but in person. The Gilt Warehouse Sale hits DC on September 23rd and 24th. just in time to stock up on your fall fashion must haves, The bi-yearly event is DC’s version of a sample sale where hordes of fashion savvy Washingtonians eagerly await their chance to shop some of the hottest labels in clothing for men, women and children as well as home décor.
DC has played host to this popular event for the last several years drawing hundreds of shoppers excited to find some amazing deals on designer labels. One of the misconceptions is that the warehouse sale is strictly for women however men can capitalize on some great bargains as well. This season guys can expect to find items from brands such as Tom Ford, Paul Smith, GANT and John Varvatos.
With a live DJ, complimentary cocktails and snacks hitting the Gilt Warehouse sale is more of a night out than a shopping excursion. However the experienced veterans treat this event like shopping warfare. Being prepared is the key to scoring the best finds. These shopping pros go into the sale with a plan. They arrive early, do not bring coats or large bags and wear clothing that affords them easy access to trying on merchandise for sale. There’s not time for modesty when there’s a great deal to be had.
The sale is being held this upcoming Friday and Saturday at Dock5 at Union Market (309 5th St NE, Washington, DC 20002). There are 4 entrance times, 2 on Friday night with 2 more on Saturday. The entrance fee ranges from $5 for the final Saturday session to $25 for the Friday Press Review. Ticket can be purchased at Gilt and in the past most sessions sell out.
