Weekend Round-Up: October 29 and 30

You can enjoy unlimited tastings of more than 30 ciders and 20 beers at The Yards Park this Saturday, Oct. 29, at the Rock the Core Cider Fest, presented by Drink the District.

Organizers are hosting two tastings sessions: 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.  The cost for a session is $45.  In addition to the cider and beer, there will be live entertainment, lawn games, and food for purchase.  All attendees must be 21 or older; children will not be permitted at the event.

The organizers of the very popular Taste of DC are introducing Taste on Wheels at The Yards Park this Sunday, Oct. 30.

More than 20 food trucks from all over the D.C. metropolitan area will be on hand doling out a signature “taste” item priced at $3 or under. In addition to the food, more than 50 beers and wines will be available, and everyone in attendance will receive a complimentary beverage.

General admission tickets to the event are $5 and include a coupon for once complimentary drink. There is also a “Bottomless Drinks” ticket that includes admission to the event and a tasting cup that will give you access to bottomless mimosas, beer and wine.
