Here are a dozen Valentine's Day dining options still available

Are you guilty of being a Valentine’s Day procrastinator? Fear not. We have found a dozen restaurants that are still taking reservations (at least they were at the time we hit the publish button).

Just a block from the White House, The Oval Room is offering guests a three-course prix fixe menu with optional wine parings prepared by executive chef John Melfi. At $85 per person or $125 with wine pairings, couples can enjoy a romantic dinner with excellent appetizer, entrée, and dessert options. Featured entrees include crispy skin sea trout, butter poached lobster, and braised lamb shank.  The Oval Room’s prix fixe menu will be available from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m.

Bibiana Osteria-Enoteca offers chic décor and tempting Italian fare for lovers on Valentine’s Day. Executive chef Jake Addeo is preparing a four-course prix fixe menu, which includes a choice of antipasti, primi, secondi and dessert tasting for two. Priced at $85 per person or $130 with wine pairings, the menu includes standouts such as Montauk pearl oysters, pan-seared octopus, squid ink gnocchi, Maine lobster, lardo-crusted Colorado lamb chops, and stuffed and baked ruby read trout with currents. The dessert tasting is designed for sweethearts to share and includes an assortment of truffles, chocolate caramel bar, Tcho and orange vanilla gelato. The prix fixe offering will be available from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m.

The landmark 701 Restaurant is offering couples an $85 per person three-course tasting menu with a choice of appetizer, entrée and dessert this Valentine’s Day. Executive chef Benjamin Lambert’s menu include items such as twice cooked beets and foie gras mousse, short rib agnolotti , Big Eye tuna tartar, Maine Lobster, roasted rack of lamb. For the perfect ending, guests can choose from brownie sundae,  cheesecake, or white chocolate bar. The Valentine’s Day menu will be available from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m.  Accompanying dinner will be a piano and bass duet playing contemporary jazz music throughout the evening.

nopa Kitchen + Bar is offering a three-course prix fixe menu for Valentine’s Day including an appetizer, entrée, dessert and a complimentary glass of sparkling rose wine. Prepared by executive chef Matt Kuhn, featured dishes include yellowfin tuna carpaccio with smoked trout roe, braised wagyu beef cheek with truffled polenta Roseda Farms barrel cut ribeye, pan roasted Ora King salmon. The dessert selections include a sticky toffee pudding with candied Benton bacon, a chocolate hazelnut daquoise, and  a pear-apple phyllo with petite vanilla crème brûlée. The Valentine’s Day menu is priced at $75 per person and is available from 5 p.m. until 10:30 p.m.

The Lafayette at The Hay-Adams is offering a four-course, prix fixe menu priced at $220 per couple, or $260 with a half bottle of Ruinart Blanc de Blancs, available from 5:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. Guests will enjoy contemporary American cuisine prepared by executive chef Nicholas Legret and newly appointed chef de cuisine Brian Drosenos. Menu highlights include wild rockfish tartare, roasted red bell pepper soup with smoked duck confit, butter poached Maine lobster, and organic beef filet. Pastry chef Josh Short’s selection of desserts will include fleur de chocolate and a mascarpone and raspberry tart with Chambord ice cream.

The newly opened Tredici Enoteca at The St. Gregory Hotel is offering a festive five-course prix fixe menu this Valentines Day. Couples can enjoy a collection of dishes from the Mediterranean Sea meshed with romantic classics, prepared by executive chef Carlos Aparicio. Priced at $65 per person, lovebirds will begin their meal with sunchoke soup with bacon and truffle oil, followed by a beet salad with kale, goat cheese, candied pecan and port reduction. Next, guests will enjoy a butternut squash tortellini with sage brown butter and parmesan followed by butter poached scallops with lemon risotto and asparagus. For desserts, couples will take pleasure in a decedent caramel panna cotta with burnt orange butterscotch sauce. Additionally, mixologist Israel Nocelo is creating a special cocktail for toasting this romantic holiday. Priced at $14, the Red Lips is made from a combination of rose-infused tequila blanco, rose liqueur, passion fruit purée, organic strawberries, homemade hibiscus syrup and fresh citrus, garnished with micro flowers. Tredici Enoteca’s Valentine’s Day menu will be available in addition to the restaurant’s a la carte dinner menu.

Across the Potomac, Red’s Table is offering a three-course prix fixe menu complete with sparkling wine pairings and live jazz this Valentine’s Day. Prepared by executive chef Adam Stein, the menu begins with a jumbo shrimp and blue crab claw cocktail with brown butter dijonnaise paired with Chapuy Champagne Brut Blanc de Blancs Grand Cru, NV, followed by seared VA boat scallops and grilled Coulotte steak with lobster velouté, pommes purée and crispy watercress paired with Reginato Sparkling Torrontes/Chardonnay, NV. For a decedent finish, couples will indulge on a hazelnut chocolate mousse enrobed in milk chocolate ganache paired with Gaillard Cremant de Loire Clemence Guery, NV. The Valentine’s Day menu will be available in addition to the regular a la carte dinner menu.

The Grill Room, located in the Rosewood, is offering a four-course prix fixe menu, which will be available in addition to its seasonal a la carte menu this Valentine’s Day, from 5:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. The romantic menu is priced at $90 per person and begins with scallop ceviche, followed by poached lobster and then duck breast.For the decedent finish, couples will indulge on rose and lychee panna cotta with rose water merengue and raspberry sorbet. Additionally, bartender Girts Mihalkins is crafting two special cocktails for toasting the occasion. Priced at $18 each, A Midnight Kiss is made from a combination of rose flower-infused gin, lemon juice, house-made grenadine, egg whites and a touch of Peychaud’s bitters and the Love Under the Bridge is made from a combination of peach vodka, lemon juice, simple syrup, cranberry juice, strawberries, basil leaves and rosé Champagne.

Takoda, a contemporary American restaurant with a rooftop beer garden, will offer a four-course prix fixe menu, which will be available in addition to its seasonal a la carte menu this Valentine’s Day, from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. The romantic menu is priced at $45 per person, and showcases seasonal dishes prepared by Chef Damian Brown. Highlights include pink cauliflower soup with pickled charred golden raisins; lemon caper shrimp with roasted purple cauliflower and butternut squash puree; herb crusted fluke with purple cauliflower puree, butternut squash, tapenade and fried capers; squash gnocchi with roasted chicken, sprouts, fried sage and a brown butter emulsion, as well as rosemary pork loin with cauliflower streak, blue cheese fondue, pearl onions, 24-hour roasted tomatoes and mustard vin. To complete the meal on a sweet note, couples can opt for chocolate covered strawberries or cookies & warm spiced milk.

Join Station 4 this Valentine’s Day for a romantic three-course prix fixe menu priced at $65 per person. Executive chef Orlando Amaro is preparing dishes such as pear & prosciutto carpaccio with chestnuts, white truffle oil and micro arugula; foie gras cappuccino with foie gras mousse, apple confit and potato foam; veal osso bucco with braised root vegetables and polenta; whole lobster stuffed with crabmeat and grilled asparagus, as well as blue truffle & ricotta cheese agnolotti [asta with parmesan cheese consommé. For dessert, couples will have a choice of decedent desserts like raspberry cream [avlova with rose water syrup and berries or hazelnut chocolate bar with Mexican chocolate gelato and marinated strawberries. A bottle of Champagne can be added to the meal for an additional $69. Station 4 will be offering this menu  from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m.

Chef Joel Hatton is offering a special tasting menu at 1905 on Valentine’s Day from 5:30 p.m. to 10 p.m.. The three-course prix fixe menu for two will cost $50 per person. Instead of the typical “choose one option per course” menu, chef Hatton will start by sending three small dishes to the table to be shared, followed by the diner’s choice of four entrees which come with three pre-chosen sides that will be served family-style. The meal concludes with a choice from two dessert options.

Restaurant 14K at Hamilton Hotel is serving up a “Lovers and Friends” Valentine’s Day tasting menu.  The cost per person is $65, and it will be served from 4 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. Featured menu items include a trio of smoked salmon, a duo of beef tartare and carpaccio, vanilla scented lobster tail, and grilled 10 oz. lamb T-bone. In addition, there will the options of an Endless Champagne Bar for $15 and a Mini Martini Flight for $19.95.
