New York Fashion Week Recap: Zachary Prell A/W 2017

One of the interesting things during any fashion week is identifying those designers that make great clothes that can immediately go from runway to street. That’s the feeling you get after seeing a Zachary Prell Collection. His F/W 2017 presentation entitled, “Elevate: Embracing Every Journey,” featured a complete collection of pieces that made you want to walk out with the entire collection and wear right away.

Interestingly for his 2017 Spring/Summer presentation, Prell did just that. Partnering with, Prell made some of his pieces available during that show. The changing paradigm is gravitating to the ‘See Now Buy Now’ culture so strong collections like Prell’s are apt to take advantage of this growing trend.

For his current collection, you can definitely see the Big Apple’s influence in this New York City based designer. Prell has elevated the idea of athleisure to a more business casual friendly look. Sweatpants, military and cargo pants were paired with bomber jackets, sweaters and hoodies for a casual yet sleek look perfect for hopping on a subway and exploring the city. Opting for a moody palette of greys, blues, charcoals and blacks, this looks were paired with rugged hiking boots. This was a collection of great staples to incorporate into any man’s wardrobe.
