Matiere Fall 2017 was a small yet concise collection shown as part of New York Fashion Week Men’s. Matiere is inspired from the French word meaning “material” or “subject matter.” Established in 2013, by founders Henry Choi and Scot Shandalove, the inspiration from this collection was the U.K. pop scene from the seventies.
Pieces were strong and wearable. Plus, t didn’t hurt that the models sat in large elaborate chairs to help strike a commanding presence to go along with the look.
What was even more impressive was the brand, strategically dressed several male bloggers. It’s great to see t how Matiere’s clothes easily work in realty. One of the standout pieces included the fur lined plaid overcoat.
