The St. Patrick’s Day Parade has been held annually in Washington, D.C., since 1971.  This year’s parade will be held along Constitution Ave., from 7th to 17th Streets, N.W., starting at 12 noon on Sunday, March 12.

A celebration of Irish culture, the two-hour parade  will feature more than 100 marching bands, military units, dance schools, floats and a variety of other groups and organizations.  The parade is free and open to the public; however, ticketed seating in the grandstands are available.
