Nominees for 35 Annual RAMMYs are in and you can vote

On Monday April 3, the Restaurant Association Metropolitan Washington (RAMW) announced this year’s nominees for the 2017 RAMMY awards. The RAMMYs honor the accomplishments and skills of the best and brightest of the region’s restaurants and foodservice community.

The majority of the categories are voted on by an anonymous panel of volunteer judges who consist of food and dining journalists, educators and foodservice industry professionals. However the voting public will decide 4 of the remaining categories.

That’s right you can play a part in deciding which restaurant will receive this prestigious award in the following categories: Favorite Gathering Place of the Year, Upscale Brunch of the Year, Casual Brunch of the Year and Favorite Fast Bites of the Year.

The finalists for these categories are:

Favorite Gathering Place of the Year:

  • Brookland’s Finest Bar & Kitchen
  • The Front Porch at Evening Star Cafe
  • Lauriol Plaza
  • Pearl Dive Oyster Palace
  • Petworth Citizen & Reading Room

Upscale Brunch of the Year: 

  • Convivial
  • Del Campo
  • Marcel’s by Robert Wiedmaier
  • The Restaurant at Patowmack Farm
  • The Source by Wolfgang Puck

Casual Brunch of the Year:

  • Cava Mezze – Capitol Hill
  • DGS Delicatessen
  • Maketto
  • Republic
  • Sixth Engine

 Favorite Fast Bites of the Year: 

  • Beefsteak
  • Cava Grill
  • Chase the Submarine
  • G by Mike Isabella
  • Taco Bamba Taqueria
