Since its start in 2000, British clothing brand has quickly become a popular go to brand for many hip twenty somethings. So naturally the timing was right for ASOS to debut its Autumn/Winter 2018 menswear collection with a presentation at 393 NYC in New York City.
This season marked the first time ASOS formally showed a collection during New York Fashion Week Mens. Rather than using traditional models, ASOS cast some of their favorite guys who continue to inspire the brand with their talent and passion across a range of industries, including fashion, food, music, and social activism.
One of the models, Bryndon Cook, is a Singer/Songwriter and local to Washington hailing from Greenbelt, Maryland. The other models included Adam Eli Werner, Activist; Alexis Caught, Menswear Insider; Chella Man, Artist; Drake Jazz Brown, Model; Gerald Lovell, Artist; Joel Mignott, Model; Phillip Basone, Chef; Quil Lemons, Photographer; Rahm Bowen, Artist and Trey Campbell, Singer, Songwriter. We liked the selection of this diverse group which help to show the brand as inspiring as well as attainable to a wide variety of people. The inclusiveness is something to be saluted.
In keeping with their brand, the company even bucked the traditional presentation format. Instead showcasing the collection in a festive party atmosphere complete with cocktails and music by DJ Isaac Hindin-Miller. ASOS AW18 collection fused modernity and history with a range of futuristic pieces and throwback Western inspired styles. See the looks up in the gallery.
