The Jefferson celebrates its namesake’s birthday with a special – and pricey – offer

The Jefferson Hotel

Paying homage to its namesake, The Jefferson is offering for a limited time the Jefferson’s 275th Birthday add-on option that can be included as part of any reservation.

You will definitely need to be a big fan of the third President of the United States or have some money to burn with this unique opportunity that is priced at $1,904 (remember, this does not include the room).

Here is what that will hefty outlay of cash will get you:

  • Vintage Madeira tasting  (reportedly Jefferson’s favorite) for two and a personal one-on-one with a Jefferson reenactor
  • Prix fixe dinner for two at Plume, the hotel’s Michelin-starred restaurant
  • In-room amenity of costume wigs and a custom Jefferson bobblehead

The 275th Birthday option comes on the heels of some recent accolades for The Jefferson. It was named among the top 50 hotels in the United States by U.S. News and among the top 25 historic hotels for a romantic proposal by Historic Hotels of America.

To make a stay at The Jefferson Hotel even more luxurious, visitors and locals who might be needing a staycation are being encouraged to book the 275th Birthday add-on option as part of a stay in the Thomas Jefferson Suite. Occupying 1,900 square feet, the suite includes a private kitchen and dining room, along walnut parquet flooring, original period artwork inspired by Jefferson’s own personal tastes, with sweeping views of the National Mall from its five Juliet balconies.

We wish we could tell you the price for this combo but the rate for the Thomas Jefferson Suite is only available by calling the hotel directly. We can pretty confidently say it will not be cheap. But isn’t old Tom worth it?

The 275th Birthday add-on option is available through April 2018 (Jefferson’s birthday month) and only by contacting the hotel directly at (202) 448-2300 or at reservations@jeffersondc.com.
