The Pink Tie Party returns to DC. It’s time to Eat, Drink and Be Cherry

While, the National Park Service has predicted that DC’s cherry blossoms will be in bloom March 17 – 20, the kick off to the season is happening just a few days before. One of Washington’s most festive parties, the annual Pink Tie Party is set to return to the Nation’s Capitol on Thursday, March 15.

Revelers dressed in their finest pink-tie attire will descend upon the Ronald Reagan Building to celebrate the start of the spring season. This year’s celebration will feature an open bar and spring inspired cuisine from top local restaurants.

Participating restaurants include:

In addition, to the incredible food and drink, partygoers will dance the night away with music by MGM resort DJ, DJ Shell.  Other activities throughout the night will include the first ever Fashion Faceoff contest, blackjack and roulette gaming provided by MGM, a performance by DC-based ethereal pop duo NUEX courtesy of Union Stage, a giant paint by number experience and a live painting session by Simon Bull which attendees can then bid on to take home.

The Pink Tie Party is the National Cherry Blossom Festival’s signature event presented by ANA (All Nippon Airways), the largest and only 5 star airline in Japan. The party which will also have a silent auction raises funds for National Cherry Blossom Festival Programs.
