Monumental Sports Network and Citi Open ATP/WTA Tennis Tournament, formerly the Legg Mason Tennis Classic, have announced the launch of a new mini-series, The 50th Celebration Series, to commemorate 50 years of the tournament in Washington, D.C.

The Citi Open will be held from July 28 through August 5 at the Rock Creek Park Tennis Center, benefiting underserved and low-income kids in the D.C. community through the Washington Tennis & Education Foundation.
One of only 13 elite ATP World Tour 500-level events worldwide and the only one held in the U.S., the tournament represents a WTA International event and is one of only five U.S. tournaments that include both men’s and women’s fields.
