When Kristen Tomlan opened DŌ, Cookie Dough Confections in New York City’s Greenwich Village back in January 2017, there was a stampede of costumers wanting to try and buy her safe, ready-to-eat raw cookie dough. And the demand has not slowed since.
Now through Sunday, Sept. 30, Washingtonians and visitors to the nation’s capital can get some of DŌ’s best offerings at a special Pop-Up location on the rooftop of The Watergate Hotel.
“We are so excited to partner with The Watergate Hotel this summer! The hotel is such an iconic staple in DC and the rooftop views are only made sweeter with the addition of our cookie dough cart,” said Tomlan. ” We’re so happy that DC cookie dough fans and dessert lovers get to enjoy a taste of NYC at The Watergate Hotel.”
DŌ uses pasteurized egg product, heat-treated flour, and other ingredients its homemade cookie doughs that are completely safe to consume raw. In addition, the cookie dough can be used to make traditional half or full baked cookies.
Selling it out of a playful bicycle ice cream cart, The Watergate Hotel Pop-Up will have available two of DŌ’s best selling flavors: Signature Chocolate Chip and Cake Batter. They will be sold in single scoop containers for $5. The Pop-Up will operate during regularly scheduled rooftop hours; however, customers are encourage to call prior to visiting to confirm that the rooftop is open and that product is available.
