Men who love a great bag have a reason to rejoice. Mark Cross is uping their bag game for men. The luxury bag and accessory brand presented its Spring/Summer 2019 men’s collection at the Norwood Club in New York City.
The intimate setting was the perfect backdrop to show off its offerings for its men collection. Unlike many of the high end luxury bags in the market today, Mark Cross eschews heavy logoing and instead opts for quiet elegance. The luxury leather goods company began in 1845 but was shuttered in the late 1990’s after being purchased by the Sara Lee Corporation.
Prior to this the company had enjoyed quite of bit of success. Alfred Hitchcock commissioned the company to create travel bag that was used by Grace Kelly in the movie Rear Window. This bag is still part of collection today.
For Spring/Summer, Cross offers up many of its women’s offerings but with a reimagining for a men’s sensibilities. In addition, it offers a variety of small leather goods to compliment the larger pieces. While the collection is based on traditional styles, the company does get the collection fresh through the addition of more current styles for today such as backpacks, totes and the belt bag. Others might recognize the belt bag from its other name, the fanny pack. Cross also with the use of color in its goods. While the entire collection was very strong, the green tote was one of the highlights.
