For Spring/Summer 2019 we head up the Pacific Coast Highway for Parke & Ronen’s collection. The design duo showed on Day of New York Fashion Week Men’s. The collection was inspired by a drive of the infamous highway and tries to capture the Malibu landscape and an imagined over the top 80’s LA culture.

The mood of the collection is based off the Pacific Coast itself. The palettes and prints highlight ocean blues and arid Californian earth tones with bursts of color found in the region’s flowers and sunsets. Parke & Ronen has long been known for its fantastic swimwear but the clothing collection is just as strong.

One of the challenges in looking at collections during New York Fashion Week is determining what looks and styles would translate well for the Washington sensibility. With Parke & Ronen this challenge is much less difficult than with other collections shown during the week. The duo’s collections will make for great summer styling whether here in the city or out on the East Coast beaches which are just a few hours away.

For Spring/Summer 2019 we see the monochromatic looks along with the bold striped tops being favorites for the stylish of DC. Not to mention that the swimwear continues to hit it out the park. If you didn’t this year, it’s never too late to start getting ready for beach season next year! It’ll be worth it.
