United Airlines increases service between Ithaca, New York and Washington, D.C.

United Airlines has added additional nonstop service from Dulles International Airport to Ithaca, New York, home of Cornell University and a gateway city to the Finger Lakes wine region,

Beginning on April 29, United Airlines will offer a third daily nonstop flight to its schedule between Dulles International Airport (IAD) and Tompkins County Regional Airport (ITH) in Ithaca, New York. United first launched nonstop service between D.C. and Ithaca last year with two daily fights.

“I’m very excited – but not surprised – that it took only a few months for our community to show that we’d make great use of United’s convenient nonstop service between Ithaca and Washington, D.C.,” said Martha Robertson, Chair, Tompkins County Legislature.

Ithaca is an popular market for many DC area residents traveling for leisure, educational and business purposes.  Located in the Finger Lakes region of New York, Ithaca is near to many top wineries, home to Cornell University and Ithaca College, and has a number of businesses in the defense industry.

In addition to Ithaca, from its hub at Washington Dulles, United offers customers access to more than 70 cities across the United States and nearly 40 destinations in Asia, Europe, nd Latin America.
