VIDA Fitness has teamed up with DC Department of Parks and Recreation to host Pilates in the Park, a free Pilates mat class at 9 a.m. on Saturday, May 4 at Banneker Premier Athletic Field, 2500 Georgia Ave., NW.

Part of more than 75 events planned around the country in observance of the 3rd annual National Fitness Day, Pilates in the Park is free and open to the public. Participants are asked to register in advance online to reserve a spot and required to bring their own workout mat.

Locally-based VIDA Fitness is helping organize Pilates in the Park as part of its mission to support community fitness.
