Looking for something to do this weekend in Washington? Here’s are a few events you don’t want to miss.
St. Jude Heart of Fashion
On Friday, May 17th, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital will present theSt. Jude Heart of Fashion . The Heart of Fashion, now in its 12th year, will include a cocktail reception, runway show featuring the CH Carolina Herrera spring/summer collection and live and silent auctions. This will be the only runway show to feature the collection in the United States outside of Fashion Week. Following the program a dessert reception will be held at the Conrad Washington, D.C. luxury hotel.
St. Jude is leading the way the world understands, treats and defeats childhood cancer and other life-threatening diseases. The money raised through this event helps ensure that families never receive a bill from St. Jude for treatment, travel, housing or food — because all a family should worry about is helping their child live.
Savor: Beer and Food Experience
Also on Friday, SAVORTM: An American Craft Beer & Food Experience will return to Washington D.C. for its 12thyear. Presented by the Brewers Association (BA), SAVOR marries flavor-forward, independent craft beer with small bites to create an unforgettable dining experience for beer lovers and foodies alike.
Back for one night only, SAVOR will serve more than 180 beers from over 90 small and independent craft breweries—one-third of which are participating for the first-time—representing craft breweries of all sizes from 34 states plus Washington D.C.
The one-of-a-kind pairing menu will be crafted by Brewers Association executive chef, and author of The Beer Pantry, Adam Dulye in collaboration with a host of noted chefs, Cicerones® and purveyors.
Cardi Shack Invitational
On Sunday May 19, Chris Cardi Inc. presents the 2019 Cardi Shack Invitational at H Street Country Club, celebrating the release of his summer collection. The colorful collection features camp shirts, polos, graphic tees, shorts, accessories, and other golf themed merchandise inspired by the 80’s sports comedy Caddy Shack.
The event style pop-up tees off at 2pm on the rooftop deck of H Street Country Club, where patrons can enjoy the sunshine, sip frozen margaritas, and shop the collection. Throughout the day, guests will also enjoy complimentary rounds of miniature golf on the second level. At 6pm the fun & games continue, with sounds provided by DJ Bijoux on the main level for the after party. A small portion of the sales from the Chris Cardi pop-up will be donated to The Capital Area Food Bank.
Early arrival is highly encouraged to get first dibs on the limited edition merchandise. We are also expecting an early crowd for mini golf. RSVP suggested in order to be eligible for gift giveaways during the event.
