Eaton DC made the leading fitness magazine’s picks for Best Hotel Spa, stating, “This hotel’s wellness center skews alternative. There are two infrared saunas and a meditation room, yoga, chakra and crystal healing, and astrology and tarot readings.”

For Best Business Hotels, the editors included Kimpton Hotel Palomar Washington, DC, citing a “room service menu stocked with healthy food” and the hotel’s in-room yoga mats, massages and complimentary bikes.

Alexandria’s Kimpton Lorien Hotel and Spa received its award for Best Pet Amenities, writing, “Take your pooch on a Canine Cruise throughout the harbor, where dogs on leashes ride free, then take her [to] the VIP (Very Important Pet) Spa for a massage. When the weather is warm, relax with your furry friend for ‘yappy hour; light bites on the outdoor deck.”

SHAPE awarded favorites in 12 categories.  A complete list of all the winners is available online.
