Madrid C.F. and Arsenal F.C. today announced the squads for their 2019 International Champions Cup match on Tuesday, July 24, at 7 p.m. at FedExField.
Each team’s 29-man squad includes a mix of veteran powerhouses and rising star players.
The most successful club in European soccer history. Real Madrid’s ICC squad includes new signings Luka Jović, Eden Hazard and Ferland Mendy as well as World Cup winners Sergio Ramos (with Spain in 2010), Toni Kroos (with Germany in 2014) and Raphaël Varane (with France in 2018).
Many eyes will be on Brazilian Gabriel Martinelli. The 18-year-old teenage sensation will be part of Aresnal’s ICC squad that also includes 2014 FIFA World Cup winners Mesut Özil and Shkodran Mustafi.
The Madrid vs. Arenal match is the eight in a series of 16 matches between 12 of the world’s best club participating in this year’s International Champions Cup. It is also the fourth time that FedExField has served as a host venue for the tournament.
