“Taco Friday” doesn’t necessary have the same ring to it but we can make an exception for National Taco Day this Friday, Oct. 2.  And if you are looking to celebrate this illustrious occasion, here are Men’s Life DC’s picks.

Mission Navy Yard and Mission Dupont

From 4 p.m. to close, Mission’s Navy Yard and Dupont locations are offering special selection of $3.50 tacos (muchroom, chicken, or chorizo) as well as $5 shots of El Jimador, and $8 glasses or $26 pitchers of Mission Margarita.

During lunch and dinner service, MXDC Cocina Mexicana is offering nine variations of tacos on your choice of  corn or wheat tortillas: carne asada, chicken, pork shoulder, wild mushroom, mahi-mahi, pork belly, short rib, shrimp, and  cauliflower.  The tacos are available a la carte and priced at $7 (two per order).  For the perfect pairing, a variety of house and flavored margaritas will also be available for a special price of $7 each.

Buena Vida

All-you-can-eat tacos will be available during lunch for $14.99 at Buena Vida.  Guests will enjoy unlimited servings of Crispy Cheese with avocado and chile de arbol salsa; Mushroom with guajillo and poblano pepper; Chicken Alambre with achiote grilled chicken, pico de gallo and morita aioli, or Carnitas, slow cooked pork with pickled onion and tomatillo sauce.  The tacos are served with organic house-made tortillas, guacamole, Mexican rice, beans and house-made salsa.
