Harper McClure is the new executive chef of Mintwood Place. McClure brings 17 years of experience to his new position, five of those devoted to cooking Belgian and French fare at notable Washington, DC establishments Brabo by Robert Wiedmaier and Stephen Starr’s Le Diplomate.

The popular Adams Morgan brasserie Mintwood Place’s new Executive Chef Harper McClure has put together a special Memorial Day Picnic Basket available for pick-up this weekend.

Priced at $90 and designed to serve two people, the picnic package includes generous portions of roasted chicken salad; grilled jumbo prawns, with fennel salad and anchoïade; salmon rillettes, with rustic bread; grilled marinated eggplant; confit cherry tomatoes; prosciutto di parma; wild boar salami; and Brillat-Savarin (soft-ripened triple cream cow’s cheese).

Pre-orders for  the picnic packages as well as special drink offers can be placed on Mintwood Place’s website.  Orders will be available for pick-up between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday,
