It’s beginning to smell a lot like BBQ on Capitol Hill

Valor Brewpub and its upstairs sister restaurant The Ugly Mug in Capitol Hill’s Barracks Row have partnered with Big Frank’s BBQ to offer a weekend menu of classic barbecue fare paired with a selection of seasonal beers and hot craft cocktails.

A graduate of Le Cordon Bleu in Cambridge, Massachusetts, Chef Frank Boland follows a strict “low and slow” smoking process for his award winning barbecue that he lovingly calls “swine dining.”

Boland is cooking up his delicious beef brisket, pulled pork, spare ribs, other meats in his mobile smoker parked onsite.

Valor Brewpub’s barbecue menu is available from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Thursdays, and from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. Social distancing seating is available inside and on a heated patio outside. Take out and delivery via DoorDash.
