MGM National Harbor adds new streetwear shop: Shyft

MGM National Harbor has a new original streetwear concept featuring hard-to-find clothing, rare collaborations, live music and local artistry with a cultural edge. Shyft: Sneakers + Apparel. MGM Resorts International’s first endeavor in streetwear gives the DMV unique access to wearable works of art and unique designs.

Located within The District retail corridor at MGM National Harbor, Shyft will present a forward-thinking approach to high fashion giving a stage to celebrate streetwear’s boldest innovators and new tailors of vogue.

“Shyft is an idea that was born from our employees who live in the DMV and saw a demand from surrounding neighborhoods for a retail concept that brings exclusive product drops and limited-edition collaborations to our area,” said Jorge Perez, President of MGM National Harbor. “We are excited to bring that vision to life and create our own retail concept that speaks directly to our community.”

Streetwear is a cultural phenomenon featuring a distinctive type of fashion, exclusive sneakers and contemporary casual clothing. Fusing everything from New York hip-hop style, to California surf/skate culture, the couture fashion style continuously makes statements globally. With leading brands such as Psycho Bunny, Supreme, Louis Vuitton, and Hudon, Shyft encapsulates the definition of streetwear.
