Ambar introduces a new Balkan street food menu showcasing tempting sandwiches prefect for takeout

Popular Balkan restaurant Ambar has a new hearty Balkan street food menu at its Capitol Hill and Clarendon, Virginia locations.  The new menu is the creation of Ambar’s Executive Chef Ivan Zivkovic.

The centerstage of this newcomer menu is the large sharable sandwiches, which feature the slow cooked, locally sourced produce for which the restaurant is renowned.  The sandwiches are served on seven-inch bread that is traditionally baked in a brick oven. Each sandwich is accompanied by hand-cut fries or a kale Caesar.

Price from $12.99 to $16.99, each sandwich is so generous in size that they are ideal for splitting.  Choices include a Balkan Kebab, Meatball Parmesan, Grilled Pork Neck, Grilled Chicken, Chicken Schnitzel, Smoked Sausage, and Roasted Lamb. Diners can also enjoy the signature Ambar Burger.

To expand the feast, Ambar is also offering a selection soups, spreads, and vegetables as well as desserts and to-go cocktails, beers and wines.
