Today, March 3 is Moscow Mule Day. Dating back to the 1940s, the Moscow Mule has become a staple at most bars–pairing spicy ginger beer with vodka and the juice of a lime. While the Moscow Mule is often served in a copper mug, don’t let the lack of a copper mug prevent you from making this drink. The folks at Q Mixers think it is just as delicious served in a highball glass, and offer the following recipe:
INGREDIENTS
- 1 ½ oz Premium Vodka (we recommend Stoli)
- 5 oz Q Mixers Ginger Beer
- ½ oz Lime Juice
For a Skinny Mule, try Q Mixers Light Ginger Beer (fewer calories without sacrificing taste!). For a sweeter, more floral mule, try Q Mixers Hibiscus Ginger Beer.
METHOD
Fill a highball glass or copper mug with ice. Pour in your favorite vodka and squeeze in the lime, leaving the lime shell in the glass. Then pour in the Q Mixers Ginger Beer and gently stir.
