Due to an overwhelming demand since launching in New York City earlier this year, Summerlong Wine Company’s Supper Club is expanding its 100% charitable dinner program to Washington D.C., designed to do one thing – make sure some of the city’s favorite restaurants are still here come summer.
As the restaurant industry continues to fight for its survival, this subscription program gives Washingtonians the chance to give back while enjoying incredible meals from six of DC’s most acclaimed restaurants. From three Best Chef Nominees for the 2020 James Beard Awards with Centrolina, Cane, and Anju; to Michelin starred Rose’s Luxury and Sushi Taro; to up-and-comer Albi, one of Esquire & Robb Report’s Best New Restaurants of 2020; subscribers receive six-weeks of exclusive three-course prix fixe, tasting menus from some of the hottest chefs in DC.
The program will begin on April 6 and run until May 13. A limited number of memberships are open for purchase now thru April 4. The per meal price per person ranges from $60 to $70 depending on the payment and delivery or pick-up options provided. The pricing includes gratuity but not sales tax. Only after purchase are participants assigned there weekly day for their meal, either Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday. 100% of proceeds from the supper club go directly to the participating restaurants.
“Summerlong Supper Club is a beacon of hope for the industry amid this unprecedented challenge, and is a tangible example of what is possible when restaurants work together to support one another and patrons band together in a grassroots effort to show their local restaurants just how much they care. We’re honored to be able to make an impact for these establishments—the heart & soul of our neighborhoods—and are excited to expand the program to DC,” said Vinay Gupta, Summerlong Wine Company owner and winemaker.
