Hook Hall is ready to give you face

Move over, Rupaul.  Hook Hall, the popular bar event space in the District’s Park View neighborhood, will host drag bingo nights beginning Wednesday, June 2. and continuing every first and third Wednesday through the summer.  Hosted by Crystal Edge, the bingo games and drag performances will be held Hook Hall’s large indoor space

A former cast member of the DC Eagle’s popular Birds of Prey drag show, Crystal Edge describes herself as a fun and tacky New Jersey-girl, who at heart is a child of the 80s—which means attendees can expect big hair, neon and bodysuits.

While extremely happy to be back performing regularly, Crystal Edge is particular excited about partnering with Hook Hall.  “It’s a added bonus to be working with a business that is not only welcoming of the LGBTQ community, but also a business that is doing such good work for the broader DC community.”

Shortly after the start of the COVID-19 pandemic last year, Hook Hall took a major leadership role in developing programs for and providing assistance to displaced restaurant, bar and other hospitality workers — a mission it is continuing to pursue as many workers remain unemployed and underemployed.

A rotating list of co-hosts will join Crystal Edge at Hook Hall for drag bingo throughout the summer:

Reserve tables for drag bingo and the performances are priced at $50 with seating for up to six guests, a bottle of sparkling wine and an initial set of bingo cards.  Reservations can be made online.
