Today’s opening of the new Union Kitchen in the District’s Eckington neighborhood marks the food business eccelerator’s 6th retail location in the Washington, DC area.
Since its start in 2012, Union Kitchen has worked with more than 500 local food businesses, helping them to launch locally, grow regionally, and scale nationally. These businesses include many DC favorites—from Compass Coffee, Pop’s Buns and Snacklins, to Eat Pizza, M’Panadas and Swapples.
Each Union Kitchen store offers many of the local products it helped develop and bring to market and a curated selection of every day essentials. The stores also offer made to order food items for breakfast, lunch and dinner that include many locally produced ingredients.
The new Union Kitchen Eckington store is located at 1625 Eckington Place NE and is open from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m., 7 days a week.
