DC launches a city wide vaccination entry requirement

Beginning Saturday, Jan.15, all individuals will be required to show they have received at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine to enter most indoor facilities within the District of Columbia. A two-dose requirement will follow on Tuesday, Feb. 15.

Per Mayor Murial Bower’s Order 2021-148, proof of vaccination against COVID-19 will be required in the following locations:

  • Indoor food and drink establishments
  • Indoor cultural and entertainment establishments
  • Indoor exercise and recreational establishments
  • Indoor event and meeting establishments

Patrons will have to show proof of vaccination by showing a physical or digital copy of their CDC vaccination card or via the VaxYes or CLEAR verification apps. A
