7 last-minute Valentine’s offers for eats, sweets and drinks

Valentine’s Day is just a few days away but there is still time to make plans for some delicious and romantic eats and drinks.

Fig & Olive

For an essence of the French Riviera in the nation’s capital, Fig & Olive in City Center DC is offering Valentine diners a special pre-fixe dinner with optional wine pairing ($35) curated by French-born, award-winning Chef Alain Allegretti. Dinner highlights include red shrimp tartare and roasted filet mignon with black truffle sauce. Available Friday, Feb. 11 through Sunday, Feb. 13, this dinner is priced at $89 per person

The Imperial

Michelin-honored The Imperial‘s Executive Chef Chris Reynolds has a Valentine’s a la carte menu for couples that includes tasting offers such as a “Lovers Plate” with oysters Rockefeller, baby foie gras torchon, lobster arancini, smoked trout rillette, shrimp salad, and old bay saltines ($28). Chef Reynolds’ special Valentine’s offers are available Thursday, Feb. 10 through Saturday, Feb. 12

Ambar

Ambar’s Capitol Hill and Arlington locations are celebrating Valentine’s with a feast inspired dishes from the Balkan Peninsula. Guests will dine on unlimited small plates from Ambar’s extensive menu as well as special additions including smoked trout dip and wild mushroom stew. Available only on Valentine’s Day, Feb. 14, this unlimited experience, which includes drinks and dessert, is priced at $89 per person.

Art & Soul

Art & Soul‘s Executive Chef Danny Chavez has created a four-course menu that has been joined with four select beverages to help the flavors sing and take you on a romantic culinary journey. Dishes include hamachi crudo with cucumber gazpacho, branzino with saffron couches, ribeye with foie gras and cauliflower puree and cinnamon doughnuts. Available only on Valentine’s Day, Monday, Feb. 14, Chef Danny’s dinner is $135 per person.

Colada Shop

For those seeking to celebrate Valentine’s Day at home, Colada Shop has a special package for two available for pick-up at its 14th Street, Wharf and Potomac locations. Each package comes with a bottle of cava and house made strawberry reduction to make your own sparkling cocktails, two heart shaped guava pastelitos, two empanadas, two croquetas and two Cuban or veggie sandwiches. Available for pick-up Thursday, Feb. 10 through Monday, Feb. 14, the package is $60.

Astro Doughnuts & Fried Chicken

For those with a Valentine’s sweet tooth, Astro Doughnuts & Fried Chicken has available boxes of a dozen mini doughnuts including two each of raspberry red velvet cake doughnuts, vanilla glaze doughnuts, crème brulee doughnuts, banana pudding doughnuts and chocolate chip cookie dough doughnuts. The Valentine’s minis are $30 per box and available at each of its locations Friday, Feb. 11 through Monday, Feb. 14 for pre-order only with 24 hours’ notice.

Morris American Bar

Morris American Bar is inviting guests to toast Valentine’s with its “Hugs & Kisses” cocktail tasting menu featuring “Beautiful Stranger,” (tequila, champagne, lemon, pomegranate), “Between the Sheets” (aged rum, cognac, triple sec, lemon, sugared rim) and “Lover’s Rock” (gin, fino sherry, pineapple, lime, bitters), and paired with a charcuterie board. The cocktail tasting menu is available only on Valentine’s Day, Monday, Feb. 14, and is $150 per couple.
