Ice Yards returns this Saturday, Feb. 26

The Yards is bringing back its annual winter-themed wonderland on Saturday, Feb. 26. Celebrating its 8th year, Ice Yards has everything one needs for a fun après ski-inspired afternoon. Guests will enjoy live music, photo booths, winter-inspired beverages, and will even be able to show off their iceless curling and ax-throwing skills and ‘hit the slopes’ on a large snowboard simulator.

The Yards is also partnering with Special Olympics DC for its annual Polar Plunge fundraiser. Participants will “take the plunge” in an above-ground swimming pool as Ice Yards guests cheer them on. The Polar Plunge supports over 2,500 DC-based athletes with year-round sports training and the opportunity to compete in the Special Olympics DC Games.

Ice Yards is a 21 and over event. Tickets are $15 per person and include admission, a complimentary drink voucher, and a $5 donation to Special Olympics DC. To register for the Polar Plunge, visit www.dcpolarplunge.org.
