Spring clean your medicine cabinet: Drug Take Back Day is this Saturday, April 30

As the nation struggles with a rising number of overdoses, you can do your part to help by removing unneeded medications from your home as a measure of preventing misuse and drug addiction from ever starting.

This Saturday, April 30, is Drug Take Back Day. You can participate by disposing of unused and expired medications at one of the 17 collection sites (see below) in the District including one in each Ward. More than 744,000 lbs. (372 tons) of medications were collected were collected nationwide during last fall’s Drug Take Back Day.
