Amtrak increases service between DC and multiple Virginia cities

Amtrak Northeast Regional has launched expanded service between DC and multiple Virginia cities.

Beginning today, Amtrak offers new additional daily service between DC and Norfolk and Roanoke. The expansion now provides two round trip options for Roanoke passengers and three round trips for Norfolk travelers. 

Amtrak has also announced that has restored the previously suspended second daily roundtrip service to and from Newport News.
