DC gets an early screening of “Spirit Halloween: The Movie”

Spirit Halloween: The Movie is available for early screening at DC’s Gallery Place 14 Theatre, Friday, Sept. 30 through Thursday, Oct. 6. Directed by David Poag, the film stars American actress Rachael Leigh Cook and two-time Emmy Award winner Christopher Lloyd.

When a new Spirit Halloween opens in a deserted strip mall, three middle school friends who think they’ve outgrown trick or treating make a dare to spend the night locked inside the store Halloween night. But they soon find out that the store is haunted by an angry evil spirit who has possessed the creepy animatronic characters. The kids will need to embark on a thrilling and spooky adventure in order to survive the night and avoid becoming possessed themselves.

Spirit Halloween: The Movie is one of the most anticipated family-friendly horror films of 2022. According to EntertainmentWeekly.com, “The teaser is giving off massive Nickelodeon meets Stranger Things and The Goonies vibes, thanks to the spunky gang of kid stars, spooky mystery, and Rachel Leigh Cook (She’s All That)who is totally serving an ’80s-esque Winona Ryder.

Rated PG-13, the film will be officially released on Tuesday, Oct. 11, and will be available to rent/buy on digital platforms such as Amazon, Apple, Vudu Fandango, Google Play, Redbox TV, YouTube, Microsoft Xbox along with all cable platforms such as InDemand, and Dish Network, and more.
