Tomorrow’s Taco Tuesday, Oct. 4, is extra special–it’s also National Taco Day. Here are some great spots in the DMV to celebrate.
Mission Navy Yard (1221 Van Street SE) and Mission Dupont (1606 20th Street NW) are offering $4 tacos, $8.50 margaritas, and $26 Mission Margarita pitchers. There is also Sauza shots at $6 starting at 4 pm at both locations.
SALAZAR (1819 14th Street NW) has $4 tacos, $8.50 margaritas, and $25 Margarita pitchers. There is also Mexican Tea shots at $6 starting at 4 p.m.
Taqueria Las Gemelas (1280 4th St NE) is offering a unique “Walking Taco” with either a Chorizo ($7) or Frijoles Negros ($5.50) base, and a mix of chips, cheese, and salsa served in a bag with a spoon so you can take it on the go.
Mi Vida 14th Street (1901 14th Street NW) and Mi Vida The Wharf (98 District Square SE), from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m, are offering two tacos for $9. You can also wash them down with $6 to $7 de la casa margaritas.
Mi Casa (1647 20th Street NW), from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m., is offering $4 tacos alongside $7 margarita or $5 draft beer to complete the celebration.
Buena Vida Gastrolounge (2900 Wilson Blvd, Arlington, Va.), which recently reopened with a new menu, a new executive chef, Jaime Pelayo, and new décor, is adding four new tacos–pork belly, lamb barbacoa, mushroom, and butternut squash–to its $25 lunch menu, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m, and $44.99 dinner menu, from 4 p.m. to 11 p.m..
California Tortilla (multiple locations) is giving away a coupon with any purchase for a free taco, redeemable between Oct. 5 and Oct. 11.
Chevys (1201 S Hayes Street, Arlington, Va.) has $3 tacos–with your choice of barbacoa, steak, chicken, or carnitas–plus $6 house margaritas, available from 3 p.m. to close.
