Sparkling cocktails for New Year’s Eve

This New Year’s Eve we suggest you skipping that traditional glass of bubbles for a sparkling cocktail. Here are some inspiring sparkling cocktail recipes that are perfect for every event from a quiet New Year’s toast on the couch to an extravagant party and everything in between.

Empress 2023

  • 1.0 oz Empress Gin (e sure to use Empress Gin made with butterfly pea syrup to ensure your cocktail is a lovely purple hue
  • 0.25 oz Creme de Violette
  • 0.25 Peach Schnapps
  • 0.5 oz Fresh lemon juice
  • 4.0 oz Dry white sparkling wine
  • Garnish: Thyme sprig

Combine Empress Gin, Creme de Violette, Peach Schnapps, and fresh lemon juice in a shaker tin with ice. Shake vigorously and Strain into a champagne flute. Top with sparkling dry white wine of choice and garnish with a thyme sprig.

Poinsettia

  • 0.5 oz Orange liqueur (suggest Gran Marnier or Cointreau)
  • 1.5 oz Cranberry juice
  • 4.0 oz Dry white sparkling wine
  • Garnish: three cranberries on toothpick, rosemary sprig

Combine orange liqueur and cranberry juice in a champagne flute. Stir ingredients to combine. Top with sparkling wine. Garnish with cranberries and rosemary sprig (be sure to smack to release aromas).

New Year 75

  • 0.5 oz Elderflower Liqueur
  • 1.5 oz Gin (suggest Botanist)
  • 0.5 oz Fresh lemon juice
  • 0.5 oz Grapefruit juice (preferably fresh)
  • 2-3 sage leaves
  • 3.0 oz Dry white sparkling wine
  • Garnish: Lemon zest

Combine all ingredients except for dry sparkling wine in a mixing hatch or shaker tin.
Muddle sage leaves or shake vigorously in tin. Strain into a champagne flute. Garnish
with a lemon zest.
