With Valentine’s Day a little more than a week away, you might still be looking for some Valentine’s ideas. You don’t have to go far to have a wonderful time in our Nation’s Capital. Here are 4 suggestions to be that Valentine’s hero.
The Jefferson
How about an overnight Valentine’s escape? Treat your loved one to a luxurious staycation at the Jefferson Hotel. Just steps away from the White House with suites that have amazing views of the Washington Moment, you’ll feel downright presidential. And if you can’t bear to leave Fido alone for even one night, bring him along, the Jefferson is super pet friendly!
The Greenhouse at The Jefferson will be offering a five-course pre-fixe Valentine’s Day dinner menu ($173 per couple) where guests can enjoy a romantic dinner for two under The Jefferson’s historic skylight. Executive Chef Fabio Salvatore has created the special tasting menu with the option of wine pairings to complement each course.
Guests can reserve a seat online or call (202)-448-2300.
Bourbon Steak
Another luxury hotel to consider is the Four Seasons. While they are sold out for their Valentine’s Day dinner, we suggest a 1-2 punch. Instead of dinner at Bourbon Steak, we suggest an intimate lunch date thereby beating a packed dinner crowd. Then book the Weekend Chalet Suite Lounge. Modeled after the Magève Ski Resort, the lounge chalet, is perfect for appetizers and drinks. The chalet reservation is for 2 hours with a food and drink minimum, room rental and 20% gratuity. It’s a great way to extend Valentines making it even more special. Go here for reservations.
Centrolina
Grab that special someone and enjoy a Valentine’s date night at Centrolina. The restaurant is in City Center DC, the premiere shopping and dining area right in the heart of Washington. The restaurant is offering a five-course menu including Amber Consomme, Monkfish, Sunchoke Tortelloni, Roasted Duck, and Tiramisu. Reservations will be available between 5pm and 9pm on Valentine’s Day. Reservations can be made via Resy.
And for couples who prefer to indulge at home, Chef Amy is also offering her Romantic Valentine’s Dinner Meal Kit available for purchase at $185/kit.
Thompson – Barbiecore Room
Has that special someone ever wondered what it would be like to stay in Barbie’s Dreamhouse? Make their Barbie lover’s dream come true. The Thompson Washington DC has transformed one of its luxurious suites into a pinktastic getaway. Designed by Brooklyn based designer, Sophie Collé, this suite is a real-life dollhouse perfect for Barbie and all her friends!
To fully immerse them in the dreamhouse staycation, enjoy pink-themed cocktails at the Rooftop at the Thompson or dine in style at the hotel’s restaurant, Surveyor.
This would be the perfect Valentine gift for any Barbie lover or if their spirit color is pink! The suite is available to book for stays through February 28, 2023. Call 202-916-5200 and mention BARBIECORE.
