Hilton Garden Inn San Jose Airport City Mall in Costa Rica

Hilton, the McLean, Va.-headquartered global hospitality company, has announced the opening of its 1000th Hilton Garden Inn. This significant achievement comes on the heels of Hilton being named the #1 World’s Best Workplace by Fortune and Great Place to Work, further solidifying its leadership status in the hospitality industry.

The milestone property is the Hilton Garden Inn San Jose Airport City Mall in Costa Rica. This addition represents a remarkable growth story for the Hilton Garden Inn brand, which debuted in 1990 with just four U.S.-based properties.

Hilton Garden Inn, an upper midscale hotel brand within Hilton’s diverse portfolio, offers elevated and approachable accommodations coupled with exceptional service. Over the years, it has gained popularity among travelers seeking a balance between business and leisure. The brand has consistently achieved high guest satisfaction ratings among mid-scale hotel chains.

“As we celebrate our 1,000th property, we are thrilled to reflect on our remarkable global expansion and our legacy of providing reliable, friendly accommodations and brighthearted service,” said Alan Roberts, brand leader, Hilton Garden Inn. “We are excited to continue our journey of innovation and growth, modernizing and elevating our design and food and beverage offerings, and spreading the light and warmth of hospitality to all our guests.”

A key driver of the brand’s more recent growth has been its food and beverage offerings revamp. In line with current dining trends, Hilton Garden Inn has introduced healthier and more organic menu options, round-the-clock retail availability, and a more sociable restaurant and bar service setting.

An exemplar of these enhancements can be found at the Hilton Garden Inn in Haymarket, Virginia. The hotel’s full-service restaurant and lounge, Red House Tavern, features a sophisticated menu crafted by Chef Joel Valente, formerly of the three-Michelin-starred Inn at Little Washington. Valente’s culinary expertise lends a refined touch to classic favorites, with a strong emphasis on locally sourced ingredients.

With approximately 300 additional properties currently in development, fans of Hilton Garden Inn can expect to see more innovations that further enhance the heartfelt service and unexpected amenities synonymous with the Hilton Garden Inn experience.
