The National Theatre is about to get a whole lot hotter. The premiere venue is hosting the spectacular, Tony Award-winning musical, Some Like It Hot, bringing Prohibition-era glamour, high-octane comedy, and dazzling dance to the Nation’s Capital from Tuesday, Nov. 25 through Sunday, Dec. 7.
Based on the iconic film—but with a distinctly modern, inclusive sensibility—this production is an all-out, song-and-dance spectacle. Follow two musicians on the run after witnessing a mob hit who find themselves hiding out in an all-girl band. What follows is a whirlwind of mistaken identities, toe-tapping choreography (including a jaw-dropping chase scene), and a surprisingly heartfelt story about finding who you are.
Hailed by critics as a “super-sized” musical comedy, the show is a pure shot of unadulterated Broadway joy. With a catchy, brassy score from the creators of Hairspray and a hilarious book by Matthew López and Amber Ruffin, Some Like It Hot is not to be missed.
Get your tickets now for this strictly limited engagement—it’s the perfect way to heat up a chilling fall night.
